Morgan & Peace Silver Dollar -
Last Year of Issue Set
Two historic U.S. silver dollars, brought together in a rarely seen matching set!
Now, you have the opportunity to own the final year of issue of the last two silver dollars made for circulation: the 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar and 1935 Peace Silver Dollar.
The Morgan Silver Dollar is one of the most celebrated of all U.S. coins. Struck in the brilliance of 90% silver, it is renowned as the "Wild West" silver dollar, becoming a symbol of America's growing importance on the world stage. The last Morgan Silver Dollar was made almost a century ago in 1921. The silver for this coin came in part from millions of old Morgan Silver Dollars that were melted by the U.S. Treasury.
The Peace Silver Dollar replaced the Morgan and was created as a tribute to world peace following the end of World War I. The Peace coin proved to be the last silver dollar ever made for circulation and the last-ever coin struck at the height of the Great Depression in 1935.
Although most classic Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars were damaged in circulation long ago, both coins in this spectacular set are in original uncirculated condition as the day they were struck by the U.S. Mint. To preserve their condition, each coin is encased in a crystal-clear showpack capsule and presented in a custom-crafted wooden display. The wooden display is included at no additional charge.
Display measures 7" long x 5-1/4" wide x 3" deep.
