São José Shipwreck Coin Ring
The ring features a meticulously detailed solid sterling silver replica of a Spanish Reales, renowned as the legendary "pieces of eight," crafted with actual silver recovered from the 1622 shipwreck. The traditional central design of a cross is faithfully reproduced. Because Reales were struck and trimmed by hand, no two coins were exactly the same size, shape or thickness. The Reales replicated in this ring is one-of-a-kind, right down to the marks and wear that attest to the original coin's nearly four centuries beneath the sea.
The ring is crafted with a bold hammered finish and 14kt gold-plated accents. As the perfect finishing touch, the band is inscribed with the name and date of the shipwrecked 17th-century ship.
